Let me start by saying I have no love for Trump. I think his "reality show" (or any "reality show") is pure crap, and only idiots would watch any of them, at least not without being drunk or high and wanting a few laughs.
I think he is an egomaniac. I think he knowingly tells lies. I don't think he is nearly as smart as he claims.
That being said, I admire him for having the balls to say what he thinks, to fuck political correctness, and to have managed, despite all his faults, to win the Presidency.
I agree with a lot of the things he says he wants to do: build a wall, deport illegals, stop unvetted immigration, stop providing aid to anyone and everyone (domestic or foreign), shut the door on liberally biased media, end trade agreements that only benefit foreign entities, bring the Supreme Court back to the job of supporting the Constitution, as written, rather than rewriting it based on progressive interpretations, strengthening the 1st and 2nd amendments, getting government out of the healthcare business, take down ISIS anywhere and everywhere without restrictions, and enforce the laws we already have.
I know there were many who were disgusted when Obama won his elections, and there were some demonstrations, including burning American flags, hanging Obama in effigy, and signs and banners with foul language. Honestly though, I don't recall anything close to what we're seeing now from the disgruntled democrats.
I think Obama was presidential during his reign, though I don't agree with many of the things he said or did. I think he was gracious during the transfer of power. I think Hillary, though not at first, accepted what happened as well as one could hope. But, the rank and file democrats, is quite a different story. I don't care if they want to whine and moan and bitch and demonstrate; but, when they start resorting to violence, and destruction, and interfering with the rights of others, I have no problem with jailing them, or even shooting them if need be. They may think blocking a major freeway or bridge or airport is just exercising their right to free speech. I say it is tantamount to kidnapping, false imprisonment, assault, and even terrorism. Fuck 'em. If they want to block O St. in Lincoln, and I happen to be going that way, I'll run the motherfuckers down until my truck can no longer get traction due to the bodies and blood, and then I'll pull out my Glock and start shooting until I have no ammo left (and I have a lot).
Long live the United States and freedom!

I'll be damned!
I never would have thought it would happen, but Donald Trump is going to be our new President. That's pretty clear now, unless someone decides to assassinate him before the inauguration. I hope he at least gets a chance to show what he can do, or screw things up, whichever comes first.
It should be apparent that I'm not a huge fan of Trump, but at least he says the things someone needs to say without worrying about the political fallout. We should build a wall, even if we have to pay for it. We should stop immigration from Syria, or all Muslims for that matter, until we are 100% sure they are not terrorists. We should cut back on foreign aid. We should stop being the world's policemen. We should have a strong military. We should stop supporting people who simply choose to be supported. We should say "fuck you" to countries who accept our aid but flip us off because they don't like us. We should cut back on government.
Mr. Trump obviously likes to be liked. Maybe he's in this thing for the wrong reasons, but if being liked is his real goal, then he will do whatever it takes to get the most people to like him. If he brings more jobs, if he makes us safe, if he lowers our tax burden, if he keeps us out of wars to save the unsaveable, what's not to like?
