You know, a few years ago, the thought of a civil war here in the USA would have been the last thing on my mind. However, since the election of Trump for President, things have really changed (or at least I became more aware of the changes).
Liberals no longer hide their desire to turn the USA into a socialist country where government not only takes our hard-earned money to use as they see fit, but limits or completely denies many of the freedoms and rights that we built into the Constitution.
I am simply dumbfounded at some of the things I've seen happen in these last few years. The democrats want to impeach Trump for investigating criminal activities of Joe Biden and his family, and then elect Joe as our President. They don't even care if he's guilty, or want to know.
New York banned the use of the word illegal to describe undocumented immigrants.
California passed a law to dictate how much time we should spend sleeping.
San Francisco not only declared NRA members to be domestic terrorists, but also to ban any form of commerce between their city and any state that did not have liberal abortion laws.
I don't know if it was intentional on their part, or just dumb luck, but I blame the current state of unrest on the fact that liberals infiltrated our educational system and have been brainwashing people to their agenda for quite a few years. Now, they are continuing to build on that voting base by trying to include those convicted of felonies, and illegal aliens.
Without some other drastic change in the way things are heading, the leftists, led by the extreme left activists (progressives) are soon going to be an unstoppable majority.
This is not because they are right, it is because they have convinced a lot of people they are right.
I'm afraid it won't be long before the true "right" will have literally no say in running this country, at least not through voting in candidates that are conservative.
The idea of a second civil war here in the USA is appalling to me, but I fear it may be coming. People like me, who thrive on liberty, who fend for themselves and don't expect government to take care of them, who believe in freedom, free speech, the right to defend themselves and their families by whatever means are available to them, the right to overthrow a tyrannical government, and the responsibility of people to take care of themselves, will soon be left no choice but to surrender to the socialists and give government control of every aspect of their lives, or to react with a new civil war.
I have a hard time envisioning what that might look like, but given the geographic relationships of conservative states and liberal states, I think it might split the county into three sections. The middle of America will become a conservative, freedom loving, capitalistic, democratic country, while the two coasts will become havens for socialists, people dependent on government for every aspect of their lives, and those who relinquish freedom for security.
Sadly, for them, they cannot exist without the hard-working people in the middle of the continent supporting them. They will not have the weapons needed to fight a civil war, and even if they control the military, they will face mass desertions due to the fact that most of those in the military recognize and promote the values of the right.
This can only end one way. The coastal states will either deteriorate into poverty-stricken third-world-type, shithole countries, or they will submit to the will of the hard-working, freedom loving middle class conservatives.
