As I've previously stated, I'm not a big fan of Donald Trump. I do support many of the things he said he would do for America if elected, and now he has been. I understand around half of the voters in the country did not support him, and that's okay. It's been the case with most presidential elections to be within a few percent, or closer. However, in my 66 years on this Earth, I've never seen the degree of resentment that has and is being expressed toward Mr. Trump in any other election, including that of the first black president, which one my expect to be highly controversial given the racial tensions present in our country.
The left has taken it to a whole new level. Yes, they have the right to demonstrate and speak their minds. That's not what concerns me. What does concern me is the violence associated with some of their demonstrations, their insistance that Trump is not their president, and their support by the mainsteam media in these efforts.
Violence is never justified as a means of protest, unless you mean to take it all the way, meaning a revolution. I'm fairly sure the left does not have the balls or the power to go that route. For one thing, the left is generally the anti-gun crowd, while the right is pro-gun. Who's going to win that war?
Defying the president, and the government in general is nothing short of treason. Anyone who refuses to obey the law because they don't like the person or persons in power who have been legally elected should be jailed as traitors.
The media is understandably pissed off because Trump has branded them as biased, liars. But, they brought it upon themselves by unashamedly and obviously ridiculing and picking on Trump in a way they have never done with any other candidate, and this began long before the election. I can't count the number of mainstream "newscasters" who openly laughed and made fun of the whole idea that Trump could even win the nomination, let alone the election. Now, with the egg still all over their faces, they refuse to admit they were wrong, and instead, have decided to aid the onslaught of the whining losers by making Trump their nightly headline and trying to shame him into changing his ways.
They are helped in their endeavor by the left's other major media support, Hollywood. It's long been known that the majority of movie, music, and TV celebrities are liberally oriented, and they've never been averse to using their celebrity status to promote their views, which amounts to free publicity for all things liberal. The degree to which this has escalated in unprecedented.
I'm going to laugh my ass off when some of these smug sons of bitches piss off the wrong people and lose parts and contracts and sponsorships as quickly as Democrats lost votes with Hillary as their candidate. I'm going to applaud like I never have when the minority celebs who lean to the right finally get the nerve (hopefully bolstered by Trump's win) to speak out and give the right some of that free air time to the shock and dismay of their pansy-assed peers.

Hey Steve! I saw the link to your blog on LJS comments, so decided to check it out. Generally you & I are in the same camp on LJS & I've appreciated your support of my comments in the past.
Some reflections about the current blog entry:
I wasn't a Trump supporter when he first announced, although I was impressed that he was the only one of the bunch of Reps that spoke the unadulterated, blunt truth as he saw it. As the campaign for Rep nomination progressed, and my candidate (Cruz) dropped out, I fell fully behind Trump, and became more comfortable with that decision as time went on.
In retrospect, I believe that DJT is the only one of 17 that started out that could have defeated Witch Hillary. Think about it. Who else among the 17 would have had the courage to look her in the eye and say, "You have tremendous hatred in your heart"?
Reps have rolled over for libs for so long that it became their modus operandi. Only a street fighter/warrior could have defeated her and now has the opportunity to wipe out much of the damage that Barack Obama did to our country. Just watch, you'll see Reps in Congress, Governorships and state legislatures begin to grow a pair and push back against the lying libs. We have a real chance to win back considerable ground that the left has captured. I know that you & I won't shut up and when required will step up.
When Barack Obama was elected in 2008, I wasn't happy, but thought, "Ok, give the guy a chance." But it didn't take long to see that he had lied repeatedly during his campaign (in typical lib fashion), and set about implementing his hidden agenda of knocking America out of world power and promoting world government. I have to say he was tremendously successful in pushing this agenda, as any opposition was labeled racist and discounted. After his reelection, honestly, I cried. Here he now was with nothing whatsoever to lose, and the ability to push his agenda full throttle. Of course, his second term was more disastrous for America than the first. Your mention of racial tensions causes me to recall that there really weren't any of significance before Barack. He implanted divisions with his comments about Trayvon, Michael, all those other thugs and finally inviting leaders of BLM to OUR White House after they'd killed cops in Dallas. He owns the racial battle we have today.
I agree that if the left turns to violence and the shooting starts, it will be the shortest civil war in world history. After about 100 of them spread over about 10 different cities have had some good ole conservative values downloaded into that triangle between their Adams apple and their nipples, they'll sit down, shut up & hopefully move to Canada or California or some other foreign country.

If you listen to the left, they will always show you their cards. They do it by accusing conservatives of exactly the offenses that they (the left) are promoting. The latest example of this is that DJT is influenced or even controlled by Russia. BS! Take an objective 30,000 foot view of the situation and it's blatantly obvious that the left is carrying Putins water for him, with Congressional libs and the MSM in lockstep to do their best to keep DJT from making Putin irrelevant. DJT is smarter than anyone gives him credit for and isn't going to take any crap for Putin. Just as he's always done in business, he's surrounded himself with the best of the best and he listens to them. Case in point, I've heard talk the last couple of days about the US sending troops to Syria. DJT isn't going to get into bed with Putin to resolve that situation and come out owing him. He'll go in and take care of the situation with "shock & awe" and Putin can go pound sand. My only question is if our military is strong enough, new enough, technical enough after Obama routed it.
Hollywood is cutting their own throats. Just wait, viewership for this weekends Oscars will be a record low. The sooner the communist State of California either secedes or shakes off into the ocean, the better.
Peace, out brother!
DEPLORIBUS UNUM
It's always nice to find people who agree with you. I'm not deeply into politics, and I don't care to follow with any serious reading the day to day events in national or international news. That is especially true now with all the Trump bashing going on.
I used to watch Colbert, before he took over for Letterman, and even though he made fun of conservatives most of the time, I still found it humorous. He would occasionally take a jab at Hillary or the liberal side of things, too, though it was never tit for tat. Since he took over the Tonight show, he is unashamedly nothing more than a liberal voice on national media and spares no feelings in bashing Trump and all things conservative. I won't watch him any more. It is much the same with the news media, with people like Scott Pelley, and Anderson Cooper, among others, openly bashing Trump like no news media ever did in the past for any president. I simply do not watch the news much anymore.
I do care a lot about local events, which is why I spend a lot of time commenting on LJS articles or letters to the editor. Our voice needs to be heard, and we need people who are not afraid to call out the liberals and show the hypocrisy that is so common in their agendas, not to mention their usurping the power and infringing on the freedoms and rights of the people.
That being said, I prefer to argue based on logic and our rights both constitutional and innate, such as the right to defend yourself. Though I am occasionally drawn in to it, I really don't like name-calling and insults as a means of dealing with people who have opinions different than my own. I have decided I will no longer spar with these people on their own level, which is why I have blocked a number of them though Facebook. If it ever appears I am dodging someone's comments or replies to my own, it is more likely that I never even saw them.
I don't necessarily recall seeing your "handle" attached to LJS comments, and I generally have more respect for people who use their real names, but I understand the need for anonymity when dealing with some of these whackos. I have had more than my share of threats over the years, and though I'm not scared by them, I don't really want to end up trying to justify my blowing the head off some asshole who wanted to get revenge for something I said on line.
I am sometimes embarrassed by those who agree with me on a subject but go what I consider overboard in the comments section. I'm not going to tell them how to speak, but in many cases I think they are doing more harm than good to the conservative argument by acting more like a whiny liberal name caller.
